What my hope was with this post was to encourage Muslim parents to try as much as possible (perhaps in the home) to use the hijri calendar given the fact that the origins of the days of the week and months of the year is based in shirk. After all, let`s say (non-muslim) grandma says: we`ll talk on Friday, or the teacher says: have the homework ready by Monday... what they gonna do?!
