-at Family Word Book for Beginning Readers

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

For the sister who requested a beginning reader that teaches the -at word family, here is a little book that, insha'Allaah, will help in your journey. If you like, I can make a book for each of the word families insha'Allaah. Please just let me know and for the sake of Allaah I will be happy to do so.

The language is repetitive (i.e. the sentences) to help the child be able to eventually read the book independently insha'Allaah. Also dear sis, I included some tracing practice for each of the words, a word-picture matching activity and a rebus story as well. Please let me know if this little book is what you had in mind.
Enjoy insha'Allaah!

  3. Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

@ Umm Suhailah: *smile*....wa feki barak Allaah. Sis, would you like for me to do books for all of the word families for your girls? Sis, you seem to have such a bright, cheerful personality masha'Allaah! Jazakillaahu khayr!

@ Umm Maimoonah: masha'Allaah ya Maimoonah! I knew this would be easy for her *smile* as I believe you have already covered this right sis?

@ Sound Schooling: You are most welcome dear sis.

Ameen Waiyyak. Awwwwwww thank you ma'am for the kind words....*sniffs*

I would love to see more word families related books- I think this would be awesome. I don't have anymore black printer ink lol so now I have to print everything in color- so Inshaa'Allaah if I get black printer ink today I can print the book for my little ladies :) *exciting*

Hmmmmm I really wanted to let you know that the resources you provide are a mercy from Allaah. I know you get a lot of thank you's here and there- so I wanted to add to the chorus....May Allaah bless you with so much good in this and the next Ameen May Allaah make us companions in Jennah Ameen

Hadith - Tirmidhi, Saheeh: Related by Aboo Daawood (no. 4177) and at-Tirmidhee (no. 1877). It was declared authentic by Imaam al-Albaanee in as-Saheehah (no. 417):

"He who does not thank people does not thank Allah."

  6. Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuh,

@ Umm Suhailah: see masha'Allaah your nice manners and personality. Jazakillaahu khayr for your kind words dear sis but I am obligated to tell you the same words that I tell anyone who thanks me *smile*...it is indeed from Allaah Alone and indeed all of the praise and thanks are due to Him. I only hope that He causes the smallest of this ummah to benefit from the little I have tried to do and that He accept it from me and place it on my scale of good deeds on Yaumul Qiyamah.

I will begin working on the other word families this week insha'Allaah. Is there one specific one that you wish to have first?

    Jazakillaahu khayr

    Aameen!
Baraka'Allaah'Feekum. May Allaah put this on your scale of good Aameen. I have a request or two and some questions :)

    1. Can you please make this word family book one with color ink- lol so that I may print it out -

I may not have printer ink this week to print black print.

    2. Also- I'm trying to teach both girls to start writing- how do I go about getting them to start practice writing? My eldest is writing A- but I notice when it comes to letters like "B" she has issues with- I saw a post that you have on pre-writing.....is this a good starter for her vs going straight into writing letters?

    3. Second the same for my 19 month old- what is the best way to get her to start writing- should she simply just draw or scribble?

    4. The girls are starting to memorize Allaah's names & attributes this week- We are making a Al-Asma ul Husna book- Can you please make a girly book cover that I may use for the little ones.

    5. Can you also make the days of the week in English something girly with Muslimahs so I can print it Inshaa'Allaah - I saw on another site you have one in Arabic? Is this true?

    Shukran

And I apologize for all the questions and request :)

  9. Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuh,

    1. wa feki barak Allaah. tayyib ukhti, I will try to put a book in colour only for you sometime this week.

    2. Sis, how old (approximately) is your eldest? I would suggest pre-writing because it helps children refine the fine motor skills they will need later for writing...waallaahu a'lam.

    3. For your 19 month old, just let her draw, colour and scribble masha'Allaah. This is the pre-writing for this age group and it is not needed to begin any kind of formal structured work, like that used for older children, at this stage...waallaahu a'lam.

    4. A "girly book" cover? *smile*. This is a new word for me. I will be happy to try but I believe your better choice would be to visit the Easel & Ink and ask the sisters there. Their talent is masha'Allaah! and they specialize in these things.

    5. And yes I will be happy to try to make your girls 'girly' days of the week in english *smile* insha'Allaah.

Please do not feel any reason to apologize dear sis. It is with pleasure for the sake of Allaah to try to help in your homeschooling journey.

  11. Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuh,

    dear sis Umm Mini,

Please do not feel that you should not dare to ask me for some learning resource that you may need....dear sis truly if I can design a learning resource for you it would be with pleasure for the sake of Allaah as we are sister in Islaam.

Admittedly, I am posting slower in these days *smile* but I will still be happy to help if I am able insha'Allaah.
