I wanted to combine our spring planning and planting with a painting activity so I decided that we would paint little tin pails with the Arabic alphabet. Perhaps we could call it the Arabic Alphabet Garden. Then we could plant our seeds and line up our painted pails along the window sill and watch the plants grow insha'Allah. No. We discovered that no, that would not work because the little pails that I bought were too small for a plant and there are no holes in the bottom for the water to drain!....hehe. Alhamdulillah. Still, we can use these little tin pails for some other craft project insha'Allah (no ideas come to mind just yet but khayr insha'Allah).

ReplyDeleteWe used to count buttons - so you could make little disks with numbers on it and store the disks in the pail...
ReplyDeleteahhh! You've given me an idea Dotty Leaf! I can make a pail with numbers on it and then do as you said, make disks with numbers on them and make some disks with alphabets on them and invite the children to sort the disks into the appropriate pails. Brilliant Dotty Leaf! I think you may be seeing a new post soon showing your idea insha'Allah (God Willing). Ohh...little grey cells are working...hehe. Thanks so much for the great idea (smile).
ReplyDeleteI wud make dem colour n cut out each leTter they have learnt in a specific colour and add to pail as dey master each letter and its forms . And each friday the pail comes out for revision.
