This is a lesson plan example for Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyah based on the Kindergarten Islamic Studies Curriculum from this post.
I have taken four of the strands from this curriculum and designed a few activities based on them to give an example how one may use this curriculum in pre-school or kindergarten insha'Allaah. The lesson plan is designed to be used by those who utilize learning centres in the classrooms or home.
The lesson plan includes a simple circle time activity to introduce the concept of Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyah to young children. Also included is an activity for children to complete using the Qur'aan. There are science activities, math activities and a few suggested extensions for the lesson.
For additional information about establishing and maintaining literacy work stations in your classroom (or home), this book may be a helpful resource: Literacy Work Stations: Making Centers Work
Here are a few samples of the activities from the lesson plan:
These cards are for the phonics activity in the lesson plan |
*For those who have already downloaded the phonics cards, I changed the picture on the X-ray card. You can download the new card by itself below insha'Allaah. I feel this one is more appropriate.*

ReplyDeleteI am using this wonderful stuff for the first week of my kindergarten Islamic studies for Maimoonah. Just want to know did you do the same for Uloohiyah and Asma Was Sifaat? I had downloaded these stuff at that time and now when I am doing my lesson plans it really came handy. So just want to ask you if you have done where can I get it from? If not done la baas!! : )
Waalaikum assalamu wa rahmatullaah
ReplyDeleteNo, I did not b/c this was for a sister who is currently using that curriculum with her child. It was an example of how one might use that curriculum with learning centres.
I do not know if that sister has designed other lesson plans to accompany that curriculum but I can ask if you'd like insha'Allaah.
Subhana'Allaah, Maimoonah is already in Kindergarten. So fast masha'Allaah...so fast....
Yes sis please do ask the sister, if she has already done and would like to share with us then it will make it easier on me Insha Allaah. If not then I was thinking just to follow what you have done and do the others as well Insha Allaah. Having something ready made is always welcome with house work : )
ReplyDeleteYes I was just thinking to myself what a big difference I see in Maimoonah now and she has just grown in front of our eyes. She is almost like an adult now for me and behaves that way too. Lot to grill into her subhanallaah and I was just preparing my lesson plans and there is a lot to do with her this year Insha Allaah!
Assalamu alaikum
ReplyDeleteYes, insha'Allaah, I will ask her. And yes pre-made does save time alhamdulillaah.
Masha'Allaah Maimoonah! May Allaah bless her.
I will let you know more about the curriculum when I hear back insha'Allaah.
Assalamualaikum
ReplyDeleteIam also trying to follow maimoonah's preschool curriculum with my kids.thot of teaching Rasheed simultaneously .so pls ask that sis inshallah.had a very difficult time finding all d miniworkbooks . Can u pls do something abt it inshallah.
Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullaah,
ReplyDeletedear sis Umm Zaid, I believe that I do not understand your comment properly. The mini-work books you mentioned are the workbooks that compliment the curriculum sis Umm Maimoonah used correct? If so, those workbooks are not aligned with the KG curriculum in this post. They were aligned with the curriculum designed by sis Umm Ibrahim. All of those mini-workbooks can be found under the label "Islamic Studies Mini-Workbooks". Insha'Allaah, all 22 are there. If you still are unable to find them you can also download them using this link: http://www.box.net/shared/qqq5by3qqquioz6av94m
I apologize but the first part of your comment I am not clear about. May you please clarify what you are asking insha'Allaah? I will appreciate it.
Jazakillaahu Khayr
